The best inspirational Christian songs give us comfort and peace when we need it most. They remind us of God’s love for us.
Music is a powerful means of communication. Music can lift us up or bring us down.
Good Christian music can help us to see God’s love for us and our worthiness in His eyes. It can bring us to our knees. It can inspire us to greater levels of holiness in our lives. It can inspire us to be the person God has created us to be.
As King David crafted the Psalms as songs of praise, petition, thanksgiving, and intercession to God, we, too, can use music as a prayer to God, communicating all these things to Him.
Here is a small collection of songs by Christian and Catholic Christian artists to inspire you today, to help you to see how loved you are by God and inspire you to be who God has created you to be. You are unique. You are loved. You are valued. You have a purpose and a mission.

God says. God tells us who we are in His eyes.
Sometimes you may feel down about yourself, wondering how God can love you or even why He made you. It can be difficult to acknowledge these feelings of insecurity when they arise.
“You Say” by Lauren Daigel is a reminder that God sees us differently than we sometimes see ourselves. He is our amazing God and creator. He knew what He was doing when He created you. He loves you.
Try to see yourself through God’s eyes.
You can find “You Say” on Lauren Daigle’s album Look Up Child.
God will not let you go.
“I Won’t Let You Go” by Switchfoot is a reminder that God loves you. No matter what you are going through, He is right with you in your life, holding on to you and leading your way, even when you may not know what to do. Hold on to God. He is holding on tho you. He won’t let you go.
You can find “I Won’t Let You Go” on Switchfoot’s Where The Light Shines Through album.
God’s grace is enough.
“Your Grace is Enough” by Catholic artist Matt Maher reminds me of the Suscipe prayer (Take, Lord, receive) by St. Ingatius Loyola. It is a prayer to God, one of praise and worship where we tell God that His grace is enough. By this acknowledgment, we tell God that we will trust in Him.
This beautiful song sounds like a prayer put to music.
You can find “Your Grace is Enough” on Matt Maher’s album Empty And Beautiful.
It is not over yet!
Nope. It is not over yet. As long as we are breathing, we have life in us. We can have hope. We can choose to have God’s life in us.
At times when we are discouraged, feeling hopeless or helpless, “It’s Not Over Yet” by for King and Country is a great song that can lift your spirits and remind you that God is in your corner with you, fighting with you to help you to overcome situations in life that are not pleasant and to help you to live your life in faith.
It is a reminder to keep fighting the good fight and persevere. God is with us.
You can find “It’s Not Over Yet” on For King and Country’s album Run Wild. Live Free. Love Strong.
Just be yourself.
Catholic artist Danielle Rose penned the beautiful song “The Saint That is Just Me.” It is a heartfelt song wherein we sing to God of our desire to be like the holy saints who have gone before us. Yet, we realize that we are called to live our own lives, not to live a copy of their lives.
God calls each of us in a unique way. We need to discern his call and follow it with our whole hearts.
You can find “The Saint that is Just Me” on Danielle Rose’s album Culture of Life.
I am.
David Crowder’s song “I Am” is a powerful reminder of who God is and how much He loves us.
I Am is the name God called Himself when He spoke to Moses. When listening to the lyrics, you can interpret I Am to mean two different people: I Am to refer to God Himself, or I am to refer to yourself. You can listen to the song two times: listen once with I Am meaning God and once as I am meaning yourself.
You can find “I Am” on David Crowder’s album Neon Steeple.
Live your life well.
Here is one more song! In “Live it Well” by Switchfoot, we let God know that we appreciate the life He has given to us. It is a pledge to God, telling Him we want to live for Him during this one life that He has given us. With God’s help, may we live it well.
You can find “Live it Well” on Switchfoot’s album Where The Light Shines Through.
The best inspirational Christian songs remind us of God’s love for us.
Have you ever heard a song and realized that it echoed just how you were feeling? Sometimes when we don’t have the words to say to God what is on our hearts, songs are great! We can use music to speak to God-to praise Him, beg for His help and His mercy, or pour our hearts out to Him.
I hope that these uplifting Christian songs have inspired you to see yourself as God does-as His beloved child-and encouraged you to keep fighting the good fight!
