Divine Mercy Chaplet
The Divine Mercy Chaplet is a set of prayers, rather than one prayer. You can use a set of Rosary beads to keep track of the prayers as you pray them. Traditionally, this prayer is prayed at 3:00 pm, the time when Jesus died on the cross.
Begin with praying this prayer three times:
O Blood and Water,
which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus
as a fount of mercy for us,
I trust in You!
On the Rosary beads, begin:
On each of the Our Father beads, pray:
Eternal Father,
I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity
of Your dearly beloved Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ
in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
On each of the Hail Mary beads, pray:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Conclude with praying this prayer three times:
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Jesus asked St. Faustina to pray The Divine Mercy Chaplet and to encourage others to pray it as well. Jesus wants all of us to turn to Him and trust in His Divine Mercy. To find out more about St. Faustina and Jesus’ Divine Mercy, you can go to TheDivineMercy.org or EWTN.com.
There is also a Divine Mercy Novena. You can find out more about it here: Divine Mercy Novena
