Prayer at the Gradual during the Catholic Mass
Prayer at the Gradual
How wonderful, O Lord,
is Thy name though the whole earth!
I will bless our Lord at all times:
His praise shall be ever in my mouth.
Be thou my God and my Protector;
in Thee alone will I put my trust;
let me not be confounded for ever.
Amen.
The Gradual was sung between the Epistle and the Alleluia during the Catholic Mass. The Gradual sang or read may depend on the time of the Church year it is. This Prayer at the Gradual is a prayer you can pray silently during this part of the Mass. For more information and a history of the Gradual, The New Advent website has an extensive explanation.
