Prayer to Follow Christ
Lord, may I follow you in my life with my whole heart and all that I am.
You are the Good Shepherd; may I trust in Your care for me. May I follow You always.
You are the Light of the World; may I follow Your light in my life and never turn away from You.
You are a Priest; may I show You true reverence and respect all the days of my life.
You are the Paschal Lamb; may I never forget Your great sacrifice for me. May I praise and thank You always.
You are the Son of God; may I remember that You are God and You love me so much that You chose to die for me. May I never forget; may I turn away from sin and turn to You every day.
You are Divine Mercy; may I never fear to come to You for forgiveness. May I be merciful to and forgiving of others.
You are the Savior; may I remember that You died to save me. Help me to praise and thank You always.
You are the Light of the World; may I follow Your light in my path of life. May I trust in YOur guidance even when I do not understand.
You are Emmanuel, God is with us; may I carry Your love for me in my heart always and know that You are with me. May I never forget that.
You are the Son of Man; may I know in my heart as well as in my mind that You are God and that You love me. May I trust in You always and follow You where You lead me.

The Prayer to Follow Christ was inspired by my desire to have a simple prayer focused on following Christ. Calling on some of the names of Jesus, the prayer reminds us that Christ is God, He is with us, He loves us, and we can put our faith and trust in Him.
