Practice the Spiritual Works of Mercy of the Catholic Faith
A List of the Spiritual Works of Mercy
There are seven Spiritual Works of Mercy in the Catholic faith:
Counsel the doubtful.
Instruct the ignorant.
Admonish the sinner.
Comfort the sorrowful.
Forgive all injuries.
Bear wrongs patiently.
Pray for the living and the dead.
This list of the Spiritual Works of Mercy of the Catholic faith can help us to stay closer to God and His will for us. The Greatest Commandments Jesus gave us were to love God and our neighbor. We show love for God and our neighbor when we practice the Spiritual Works of Mercy in our lives. We can do our best to live them out well in our lives each day and we can ask God to help us. He will. You can learn more details about the Spiritual Works of Mercy at the USCCB’s website.
