Matthew 6: 19-21: Treasure in Heaven
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal.
But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.”
Amen.
Matthew 6: 19-21: Set up treasure in Heaven, not on the earth. Where our treasure is, our heart will be. We want our hearts to be in Heaven, not on earth in physical possessions. When our hearts are focused on God and on Heavenly things, we will live our lives accordingly. When they are focused on earthly things, we will live our lives storing up treasures on earth, which are not true treasures, but temporary distractions from our Heavenly goal.
