Feast days for the mysteries of the Rosary for 2021
Do you like to pray the Rosary? If so, you are probably familiar with which mystery of the Rosary is traditionally said on which day of the week: the Glorious Mysteries on Sundays and Wednesdays, the Joyful Mysteries on Mondays and Saturdays, the Luminous Mysteries on Thursdays, and the Sorrowful Mysteries on Tuesdays and Fridays. We can pray any or all of the mysteries of the Rosary on any day, but this listing gives us an opportunity to pray all of the mysteries at least once in a week. We can also pray certain mysteries of the Rosary on the feast day associated with one of the mysteries. Below are listed all of the feast days for the mysteries of the Rosary for 2021.
Feast days for the mysteries of the Rosary for 2021.
Out of all of the mysteries of the Rosary, there are only three events that do not have their own feast day. They are the Finding of Jesus in the Temple, the Proclamation of the kingdom of Heaven, and the wedding feast at Cana. In the listings below, they each have a +. For these, instead of a feast day, the date listed is the date when the Gospel reading at Mass will be about the event described in the mystery.
There are also some feast days whose dates that vary from year to year. These are the mysteries about Jesus’ institution of the Eucharist, His passion, His death, His resurrection on Easter, His Ascension into Heaven, and the Descent of the Holy Spirit. These are noted with a *.
The dates that have neither a * or a + by them are dates that remain the same every year. Just like Christmas is always December 25th, these feast days are always on the same day each year.
The dates are organized in two different ways. They are listed first by Mystery and then they are listed in chronological order.
There is one more special Rosary day that needs to be mentioned: the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is on October 7.
